In another significant achievement, Mr. Olawole Vincent Makinde has unveiled a state-of-the-art event facility, the Eunice Omorinwola Makinde Memorial Centre, in honour of his late mother, Mrs. Eunice Omorinwola Makinde.
Situated within the premises of Goshen Hotel and Suites, Odode, Idanre, the new 1,000 capacity event centre is designed to meet the growing demand for standard event spaces as the facility aims to elevate the standard of entertainment and social gatherings in the local government.
The event centre has an array of amenities including Deon chairs, banquet tables, male and female restrooms, a caterers’ stand, chilling stand, full air conditioning supported by industrial fans, high-quality decorations, ample parking space, a standby generator, dual large television stands for entertainment connectivity, and comprehensive security measures.
Speaking on the vision behind the project, Mr. Makinde, who also serves as CEO of Goshen Trust Home, shared that the initiative was a long time dream inspired by the memory of his mother and driven by the pressing need for a modern event hall in Idanre.
Meanwhile, the centre was officially inaugurated on April 18, 2025 that featured a spiritual dedication marked by prayers and hymnal songs. A sermon delivered by a guest minister Pastor Mike Adeola themed “A Man After God’s Heart”, highlighted the biblical inspiration for the project, drawing parallels to the divine word given to King David.
