The remains of Late Princess Adetobeye Grace Akindoju were laid to rest on April 24, 2026, in her country home at Odode, Idanre, Ondo State, in a befitting burial ceremony attended by dignitaries, family members, and well-wishers.

The journey to her final resting place began a day earlier when her body was conveyed from Hasta La Vista Funeral Parlour, Akure, by De Proof Undertakers in a solemn yet dignified procession, featuring a limousine, to Idanre for a lying-in-state and service of songs.

The wake service was officiated by Venerable Blessing Aregbesola, who, in his sermon, urged all to be mindful of the legacy they leave behind. Family members, children, and well-wishers paid glowing tributes, sharing heartfelt testimonies about the late matriarch.

The funeral service, held at St. Paul’s Cathedral Church, Odode Idanre, attracted a large congregation. In his sermon, Ven. Aregbesola described the late Princess as a diligent and devoted church member, a God-fearing woman who showed love and fairness to all her children, including stepchildren, despite her polygamous family background.

Her remains were thereafter interred at her residence on Broad Street, Odode Idanre, where the final rites of dust-to-dust were performed by her children and loved ones.

The reception, held at the Olofin Anglican Grammar School playing field, was lively, with guests from all walks of life gathering to celebrate her impactful life. Femi Solar and his band entertained attendees with music, while an array of food and drinks was served.
