Students of Adekunke Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko had given award of excellence to Hon. Festus Akingbaso a.k.a Fessywest.
This award was given based on his meritorious service to humanity and outstanding performance in the Ondo State House of Assembly.
Hon. Festus Akingbaso is an Idanre born philanthropist, a business mogul both Local and international, a former Executive Chairman, Idanre Local Government and member of Ondo State House of Assembly, representing Idanre State Constituency.
Presenting the award, Alhaji Akinbelo described Hon. Akingbaso as an excellent representative of his constituency. He said “it is my honour to present this distinguished award of excellence to an excellent representative of the people of his community and I pray that this good work you have just started will continue and many windows will open for you.”
In his response, Hon. Akingbaso appreciated the honour bestowed on him as a graduate of the department of Public Administration, Adekunle Ajasin University. He enjoined the students to look beyond their present but focus on the future, as he donated the sum of five hundred thousand naira (#500,000) to the department.
At the event were; Hon. Akinlalu Adekunle a.k.a “Gay”, PDP Chairman Idanre Local Government, Hon. Mayokun Akinmoladun, Hon. Akinsote, Barrister Bayo, among others.
