Unto the family of Pa and Mrs Claudius Esther Ajisegiri, a son was given birth to over six (6) decades ago, in the ancient town of Idanre Kingdom.
Engr. (Dr) Benson Ajisegiri, a retired Director of water supply and public private partnership, Ministry of Water Resources is a man with a midas touch who had impacted so much in human capacity and community development.
He had his primary and secondary school education in idanre kingdom before he gained admission into the prestigious University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife where he bagged degree in civil engineering.
According to him, “growing up was fun for me until dry seasons when some part of the community experienced lack of access to portable water and we will have to go around searching for water and there I made up my mind to provide water to Idanre kingdom”.
During his tenure as Director of Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Engr Dr Benson Ajisegiri facilitated fifty nine (59) borehole projects both in motorized and solar powered across Idanre and ensuring their sustainability.
No wonder he was celebrated by creams of personality in the society when it was time for him to bow out of service coupled with his 60th birthday anniversary as his wife, Mrs Ajisegiri, his children and Idanre Descendants Union, Abuja celebrated him with melodious songs.
At the event were; Engr Suleiman Adamu,The Hon Minister for Water Resources, Dr Ibrahim Permanent Secretary Federal ministry of Water Resources, Distinguished Senator Ayo Akinyelure fca Senator representing Ondo central senatorial District,Dr jasper Adeleye Olusayero, president of Idanre descendants Union, Abuja and the representative of the vice president Prof Yemi Osinbajo among others.
