GLORY OF GOD SCHOOL CELEBRATES END OF THE YEAR ACTIVITIES

The Glory of God Schools had last weekend celebrated their end of the year activities with lot of excitement on the faces of the teachers, students and their parents.

The event which took place on the school playing ground at St Theresa street, Alade Idanre, was well attended by eminent sons and daughters of Idanre and well wishers across the State.

At the event were; Hon. Mayokun Akinmoladun, Barr. Olaleye Akintububo, Hon. Adegbeyeni Olatubosun, Hon. Sola Adebayo, Hon. Aderemi Oyewole, Hon. Lugard, vice chairman, PDP Idanre Local Government, Mrs Ronke Akomolafe, Mrs Yemisi Akinseye, among others

Speaking with platinum TV correspondent, Mr Ibukun Akinmoladun, the Director of Glory of God schools described the end of the year activities as a day of joy both in the life of the students and the entire management of the school. He noted that glory of God as the name of the school, implies that all glory be to God and also their aim as a school is to nurturing students for a greater future.

Also, Mrs Olayinka Akinmoladun,wife of the director and proprietress of the school enjoined the students to keep to the good teachings of the school. She appreciated the parents and urged them to buy all the necessary text books for their wards and also pay up their school fees in order to enhance quality education.

Meanwhile, Barrister Olaleye Akintububo, in his lecture titled “Impact of culture on education”, stated that culture entails morality which is the central theme of education. ” You cannot educate people without bringing cultural values into your pedagogic practice. The essence of formal education is to make a man whole in character and “learning”. The word character as used in this context entails morality or moral uprightness”
