Idanre Local Government has once again witnessed another level of giant stride on the 6th of June, 2021 as Hon. Festus Akingbaso Frssywest, Member Representing Idanre State Constituency at the State House of Assembly celebrated his monumental achievements in his two years in office.
In his speech, Hon. Akingbaso appreciated God and the good people of Idanre for the confidence repose in him with a view to moving Idanre forward. He said,”in all humility, I am pleased to say that I have been able to represent you well and in the course of this,I have rolled out different projects successfully in a bid to move Idanre and the people to the forefront of civilization in Ondo State. Therefore, this has given me the full conference to say that we are progressing in the right direction as a community.”
The event was well attended by personalities like the Distinguished Senator Ayo Akinyelure, Senator Representing Ondo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Alhaji Fatai Adams, Ondo State PDP chairman, Dr. Tayo Dairo, Dr. Kola Ademujimi, Hon. Rasheed Elegbeleye, MHA Representing Ikare Akoko, Hon. Barrister Success Tourikenjor MHA, Ese Odo Local Government, Dr. Gbenga Oke Samuel, High Chief Lisa of Idanre Kingdom, High Chief Lisa of Alade Idanre, The Yeyelobun of Idanre Kingdom, Revd. Tunde Akinkuehin, CAN chairman, Idanre Local Government, among others.
In his goodwill message, Senator Ayo Akinyelure described Hon. Akingbaso as an entrepreneur per excellence and a successful politician. He appreciated the good people of Idanre on behalf of Hon. Obete for the their unwavering support for him. Akinyelure noted that all the achievements of Hon. Akingbaso is an added value to Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State and Idanre in particular.
In like manner, Hon. Adekunle Akinlalu (Gay),PDP chairman, Idanre Local Government said, “Hon. Akingbaso is a worthy son of the soil who has deemed it fit to put smile on the faces of the entire community with the numerous projects done.” He assured the party members on behalf of Hon. Obete of more projects and empowerment for the benefit of the party members and the community at large.
Speaking, Hon. Mayokun Akinmoladun, the Chairman anniversary planning committee on behalf of the committee saluted the courage of all the PDP Members and the good people of Idanre for their support in making the event a success and listed some of the projects delivered by Hon. Fessywest like; renovation of classroom blocks in Idanre, construction of market stores at Isalu/Jigbokin, Ojota Market and public convenience at Anaye market in Alade Idanre, donation of sienna bus for Christian Association of Nigeria, Idanre chapter, purchase of jamb form for students across the Local Government, Bursary/Purchase of Sienna bus for student union body National Association of Idanre Students NAIS, Grants to market women in Idanre Local Government and many more.
Meanwhile, Hon. Akingbaso has called on indigenes of Idanre, home and abroad to join him in making Idanre the town of their dreams.
