LATE CHIEF AKINDUYITE FINALLY LAID TO REST IN IDANRE

The remains of Late Chief Ilemobayo Felix Akinduyite, who passed on at the age of 85, were finally laid to rest on Friday, 15th August, 2025, at his country home near Ilemobola Girls College, Odode Idanre.

On the penultimate day of the burial, his body was conveyed in a motorcade from Bell Mortuary, Akure, to Idanre for the lying-in-state and wake service, where family, friends, and well-wishers delivered heartfelt testimonies about his exceptional virtues and impactful life.

The funeral service, held at St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral Church, Idanre, was officiated by Archdeacon Blessing Aregbesola. In his sermon, he admonished the congregation to always be prepared for the inevitability of death, urging them to live righteously in readiness for eternal life. He further testified that Pa Ilemobayo Felix Akinduyite was a God-fearing man and a devoted Christian throughout his lifetime.

During the service, some of the deceased’s children were inducted into two church associations and formally handed over to group leaders to encourage their active participation in church activities.

After the service, the late patriarch was laid to rest in a well prepared six foot grave.

A grand reception followed at Makinde Events Centre, Technical Road, Idanre, where eminent personalities from across the globe gathered. Guests were entertained by King Destiny and his musical band, with surplus food and drinks served in abundance.

Smart Adeuyi Omotadowa, Mr Dele Akinnola, Chief Bayode Akinduro, Chief Korede Duyile, Professor Moses Oludare Ajewole, among several others.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ayodele Akinduyite described their late father as a caring parent who always desired the best for his children and would go to any length to ensure their well-being.

Mrs. Bukola Akinyimika described him as a man of integrity who was both loving and committed to his words. Similarly, Mr. Ayodeji Akinduyite recalled how his father taught him focus and contentment, stressing that he never took what did not belong to him.

Mrs. Folasade Adetoye highlighted his love for children and the people around him, while Mrs. Iyabo Ogbeide remembered him as both a teacher and a father figure to his children. His grandson, Master Akinduyite Oluwatobiloba, fondly described his grandfather as a calm and well-organized man.

In their collective message of gratitude, all the children of late Chief Akinduyite appreciated family, friends, and well-wishers who joined them in celebrating the life and legacy of their beloved father.
