The remains of late Pastor Joseph Adenowo Ademeso, a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police and a devoted man of God, was finally laid to rest on January 31, 2025, at his country home in Odode Idanre.
The solemn journey to his final resting place began at Jidex Funeral Home, Akure, where a motorcade conveyed his remains to Idanre for a lying-in-state and wake service.
The funeral service was held at Christ Apostolic Church, Irowo Quarters, Odode Idanre, where the officiating pastor emphasized the brevity of life and the inevitability of death, urging attendees to live meaningfully.
Shortly after the service, heartfelt tributes poured in from his Children . Mrs. Adenike Akinroluyo described her late father as a man filled with wisdom and compassionate man who dedicated his life to helping others. Mrs. Bukola Ademeso Mojibayo highlighted his passion for education and how he ensured all his children received quality schooling while also leading them to Christ.
In like manner, Mr. Joshua Adelakun Ademeso emphasized their father’s strong values, stating that he left them with two important legacies of Christ and the pursuit of education. Similarly, Mr. Femi Ademeso affirmed his father’s discipline and teachings on the fear of God.
The funeral reception, held at Olofin Anglican Grammar School field, was graced by distinguished guests, with Ola Blessing Military Band providing entertainment. Attendees were served with variety of meals and drinks, creating an atmosphere of celebration of a life well spent.
