Late Mrs Bernice Eyeola Akinmoladun, the mother of a notable politician, Dcn. Hon. Mayokun Akinmoladun, has finally been laid to rest as her remains was lowered six feet deep down the earth.
Late Mrs Bernice Eyeola Akinmoladun, the first wife of the late notable cocoa exporter, late Pa Moses Akinmoladun, who passed away after a brief illness on 29th of July, 2022, started her journey towards her final place of rest on Friday 11th of November, 2022 as her remains left Bell’s Mortuary, Akure in a carnival like to her country home at Alalabiaye Street, Odode Idanre for lying in state and wake service respectively.
First Baptist church was filled to the brim as the under shepherd, Pastor Samson Odeyinka reminded the congregation of eternity. He urged them to place priority on heaven to the ephemeral things of the world.
The reception was wowed with creme de la creme of notable personalities as Ebenezer Shofolu and his Merry Gang Band from Lagos thrilled the guests with danceable music coupled with surplus assorted meals and drinks of different kind.
In his words, Dr Isaac Akinmoladun who is the first born of the late mother, appreciated God for a life well spent of his mother and thanked all that graced the occasion. He described late Madam Bernice as an “Iroko tree” who was deeply rooted in her husband’s house with many branches.
In like manner, Hon. Deacon Mayokun Akinmoladun described late Madam Bernice Akinmoladun as a disciplined and prayerful mother who was always fond of praying for her children.
Late Mrs Bernice Akinmoladun is survived by Dr Isaac Akinmoladun, Engr. Boluwaji Akinmoladun, Mr Sola Akinmoladun, Mrs Ronke Komolafe, Hon. Deacon Mayokun Akinmoladun, Engr. Ibukun Akinmoladun, Engr. Olowoniyi Akinmoladun, Engr. Olatuyi Akinmoladun, Mrs Damilola Awoku, and other siblings.
