Mr. Ojo Olumagba has given his late father-in-law, High Chief Francis Adekolurejo Olubuyimo, a befitting burial in Idanre, Ondo State. The funeral was marked by a colorful display of tradition and celebration.
High Chief Olubuyimo, who was the Lemikan of Idanre land until his passing, was known for his unwavering dedication to the development of the community. A man of great strength and integrity, his contributions to the growth of Idanre remain immeasurable.
The funeral rites commenced on February 6, 2025, with the departure of the patriarch’s remains from Bell Mortuary, Akure. In a grand procession led by De Proof Funeral Undertakers, the body was taken to his residence in Idanre for a lying-in-state and wake service.
The final reception, held at Olofin Anglican Grammar School field, was attended by prominent personalities including Mr and Mrs Ojo olumagba’s social clubs.Guests were treated to lively entertainment by Destiny and his musical band, while an abundance of food and drinks were served.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Ojo Olumagba described his late father-in-law as a disciplined and hardworking man whose values and principles greatly influenced him. “I learned a lot from him, and his teachings have shaped my life for the better,” he said.
Similarly, Mrs. Igbalade Olumagba (née Olubuyimo) fondly remembered her father as a loving and sociable man who cherished having people around him. “He detested cheating and never withheld what rightfully belonged to others,” she recalled.

described the late Lemikan of idanre as a responsible and reliable man.
The burial ceremony was not just a farewell but a grand celebration of a life well spent. It was a testament to the virtues of hard work, perseverance, and community service that defined the late High Chief Olubuyimo’s remarkable legacy.
