ONDO GOVERNMENT FLAGS OFF CAT FISH AQUACULTURE EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME, PARTNERS WITH OSKY INTEGRATED, INDIGO AFRICA, BLUE REVOLUTION

The Ondo State Government under the Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with Osky Integrated, Indigo Africa and Blue Revolution had flagged off the training of one hundred (100) youths across the eighteen (18) local governments in the state.

The flag off was led by the Deputy Governor, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa at the Ondo State Printing Press event center, Akure with a view to improving the standard operations of cat fish farmers by giving them technical support through Osky, supply of feed by Indigo Africa and Ondo State government playing a major role through increasing support for aquaculture and introduction of new farmers to modern practice of aquaculture.

The training will last for one week at the Benin Owena River Basin, Igbaraoke water dam at the Osky Integrated fish pond facility owned by Mr Femi Ilesanmi Eniola and thereafter the Ondo State government will provide a take off funds for the beneficiaries.

After the flag off, the team of Director and other stakeholders from the Ministry of Agriculture led by Mr Olotu Special Assistant to the governor on Agriculture visited the waters dam for inspection to justify the readiness of Osky and other partners for the training.

The team also visited Owode facility of Osky Integrated where fishes are been smoked , processed to sausages and packaged for exportation and local market consumption.
