Akinfeleye buries mum in Idanre
Mrs Eunice Olajide Akinfeleye nee Akingbesote, the mother of a renowned Professor of Mass Communication in University of Lagos Professor Ralph Akinfeleye, has been buried.
The late Mrs Akinfeleye, who was buried on April 29 was the Jisanbokun of Idanre land.
Late Mrs Akinfeleye began her journey to eternal rest on the penultimate day of 29th April, 2022 as her remains left the Bell funeral home, Akure to Idanre in a carnival like for lying in state and wake service conducted simultaneously.
The funeral service was held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Idanre, Ondo State where Venerable Agboola Ayorinde in his sermon, admonished the guests and family members why they must put their trust in God as eternity is their ultimate.
Venerable Agboola prayed God grants the departed matriarch eternity with the Creator.
He mentioned some of the numerous virtues in the life of the departed Chief (Mrs) Eunice Akinfeleye who he described as a God fearing woman who served God in her entire life.
Olofin Anglican Grammar school playing field was also filled with creme de la cream in society who joined Professor Akinfeleye, the Gbekonuyi of Idanre Kingdom and other children of late Chief Mrs Eunice Akinfeleye, nee Akingbesote in rejoicing that their mother who lived a life well spent.
The king of juju maestro, Sunny Ade entertained the guests with danceable songs.
The burial was well attended by captains of industry among whom were; Prince Andy Aroloye; Engr. Ade Adetimehin, Chairman, Ondo State All Progressive Congress APC; Engr. Femi Olatunji; Hon. Akin Akingbesote, Mr Akin Ajinde, Hon Mayokun Akinmoladun, Mr Lad Owoseeni, Mrs Olatubi, Rtd P S Lagos State, among others.
