The remains of late Chief Mrs Esther Olasege Adefemiwa nee Olagunsoye, the grandmother of Engineer Jide Osedele who departed this sinful world after spending 83 years after a brief illness in Canada had been finally laid to rest.
Late Madam Esther Adefemiwa started her journey to eternity as her remains were taken from St David’s Cathedral Mortuary, Akure in a procession of a fleet of cars and undertakers by Climax Funeral home to her residence at Alade Idanre.
In another step to eternity, a Christian wake service was conducted for late Chief Mrs. Esther Olasege Adefemiwa at her Palace Road, Alade Idanre residence amidst a rain of encomiums from children and well-wishers.
St Paul’s Anglican Church Odode Idanre was filled to the brim where the funeral service took place.
In his sermon, Reverend Agboola who is the Vicar of the church extolled the virtues of the late mother as a great role model for a new convert who lived an exemplary life. He urged the large congregation to be mindful of eternity.
Earlier, Canada-based grandson, Engr. Jide Osedele described late Chief Mrs Esther Olasege Adefemiwa as a devoted Christian that was meritoriously chosen as the Iyalode Egbe Aya Bishop of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Odode Idanre. He saw her as an embodiment of the biblical representation of an ideal mother and wife.
In like manner, Pa Adewalure Mexico, an older nephew who knew late Chief Mrs Esther Olasege Adefemiwa closely testified to her as an easy going and God fearing woman.
Idanre High School playing ground was agog where the 1500 capacity tent of Platinum rentals was filled up with crèmes of personalities as King Sunny Ade Junior thrilled the guests with sonorous songs coupled with assorted and continental dishes served to make the event colourful.
Late Chief Mrs Osedele is survived by her Children, Grandchildren, In laws and relatives.
