VETERAN CIVIL SERVANT, THOMPSON TEMITOPE ADESOJI POPULARLY KNOWN AS TOLU RENTALS, BOWS OUT OF SERVICE

It was a day of joy and reflection on March 22, 2025, as family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the retirement of Mr. Thompson Temitope Adesoji, a distinguished civil servant who had served diligently in various capacities and retired as the Director of Finance and Procurement at the local government level. Mr. Adesoji was honored for his years of commitment, integrity, and dedicated service to the community.

 

The grand celebration began with a thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Odode Idanre, where prayers and songs of gratitude were offered in appreciation of his successful career.

 

The officiating minister commended Mr. Adesoji for his dedication and unwavering support for God’s work, emphasizing that his retirement marked not the end, but a new phase of service to God and humanity.

 

Following the church service, the reception took place at Makinde Event Center, where guests were treated to a lively and colorful celebration. The event featured the singing of cultural songs, adding a traditional and festive touch to the joyous occasion.

 

Family members, friends, and children of the retiree took turns to shower praises on him, describing him as a man of integrity, discipline, and a role model in both his professional and personal life.

 

In his remarks, Barr. Adelanke Akinrata referred to Mr. Adesoji not just as an in-law but as a father, brother, and uncle, acknowledging him as a man of honesty, hard work, and a mentor to the younger generation.

 

Similarly, Chief (Dr.) Benson Ajisegiri described Mr. Adesoji as a man of impeccable character, humility, and honesty in all things.

 

Mr. Olusola Ebenezer Tobi, a subordinate of Mr. Adesoji, testified to his meritorious service and accommodating nature, highlighting how well he treated his staff members.

Adding a personal touch, Barr. Temitope Adesoji, son of the celebrant, reflected on his father’s strict discipline while they were growing up, noting how it positively shaped their lives. He described his father as a passionate advocate for education, who would go to great lengths to ensure his children received the best education possible.

 

As Mr. Adesoji transitions into retirement, he expressed deep gratitude to God, his family, and all those who supported him throughout his career. He also encouraged younger civil servants to uphold diligence, honesty, and commitment in their service to society.
